I have always enjoyed cooking. I like to experiment and cook- the sweet-smelling of baking, the aroma of vegetables cooking in a new sauce, or simply throwing something together which everyone enjoys.
I asked around my local community and here are some of the simple recipes that kids put together. The best part is they are healthy, easy to put together and so so tasty.
Fruit Salad by 12-year-old Ritisha Vaswani:
Ingredients:
2 clementines
2 Apples
10-15 grapes
1 3/4 cup of plain yogurt
Rolled oats and almonds to taste
For the fruit salad, peel and chop all the fruits, mix everything, and top it up with honey, cinnamon, or blueberries, or bananas. Enjoy the fresh fruit flavors in a healthy and tasty way!
Cucumber- Avocado Salad by Prisha Shah:
Ingredients:
1 Avocado
1 Cucumber
1 can of chickpeas
Red chilli powder/ salt to taste
Lemon juice according to taste
Chop the avocado and cucumber into small cubes. Mix them with the drained chickpeas in a large bowl, add lemon juice, salt and red chilli powder accordin to your taste. Mix thorougly! Enjoy
