The Middlesex County Magnet Schools form part of the state's 21 county vocational-technical school districts. Functioning as tuition-free public high schools, these institutions provide students in grades 9-12 with immersive, hands-on learning experiences that integrate various career paths and prepare them for higher education. Residents from any of Middlesex County's 25 municipalities are eligible to apply to the school district. Upon acceptance, the student's home school district allows attendance and arranges complimentary daily transportation for the student's family. The Middlesex County Magnet Schools also boast a wide array of extracurricular clubs and athletic teams.
