A big shout-out to all our dedicated volunteers for their hard work, ensuring we have time and space to celebrate and connect! This weekend, February 16 to 18 offers another eclectic mix of events promising that children of all ages will have moments of wonder!

The organizers of the  Lunar New Year Celebration and the Cookie Circuit say they can't wait to see you later today.

Lunar New Year Celebration and Parade - Edison

Saturday, 1 - 4 pm

Mayor Sam Joshi and the Edison Council invite all to celebrate the Year of the Dragon. Activities include:

  • Parade starts at Edison Borough Hall and ends at Papaianni Park
  • Lion Dance
  • Kid Zone
  • Firepits
  • Cultural Performances
  • Firecrackers

Girl Scout Cookie Circuit

Saturday, 2 - 3:30 pm

Swing by the multipurpose room at the Metuchen YMCA this Saturday between 2:00 PM and 3:30 PM! You'll be treated to an array of cookie-themed activity stations in celebration of National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend! Plus, indulge your sweet tooth with a variety of delicious cookies available for purchase!

Metuchen-Edison Local History Day

Sunday, 1 - 4 pm

Presented by the Metuchen-Edison Historical Society, this event showcases 50 years of captivating archives! Established in 1974, the Metuchen-Edison Historical Society is celebrating its golden 50th anniversary this year. Dive into the rich history they've accumulated over the past five decades! Attendees can explore a treasure trove of old photographs, postcards of Metuchen & Edison, maps, and aerial photographs on display. Be among the first 50 attendees to receive free door prizes and gift bags, adding an extra layer of excitement to this historical extravaganza! Additionally, historical society merchandise will be available for those eager to take a piece of the past home with them. Join us for a journey through time and discover the fascinating stories preserved by the Metuchen-Edison Historical Society.
